Rock House Portion Of Hocking Hills State Park

 

When we came here when I was a kid, this cave was always the most magical to me.  I always imagined living here, building fires and making home in this cave.  It held such a magic for me, and it still does.  One of trails within Hocking Hills State Park is the Rock House trail.  The main feature of this trail is this cave.  It is one of the more challenging trails within the park with its many steep stairs, however I find it totally worth it.  Perhaps it is because I spent so much time here as a child, but I find it purely magical.  It is fascinating with many little nooks and caves to climb into and the view from inside is beautiful.  I love this hike and will continue to go here for years to come.
