Dolly Sods Wilderness Autumn Fog
My parents and I decided to do some leaf peeping this past weekend and the weather could not have provided better October vibes. The fog and the empty roads were so eerie, and there was a list mist that fell the entire time we were at the top. For the most part, we just drove around and explored. We drove almost the entire length of the designated dolly sods wildness which is a section of the national forest. We also did a different hike than we did the last time that we were there. This was one more clearly a trail and it was in more of an open field area so we felt more comfortable taking it with the weather how it was. I also hadn't brought along my hiking backpack with all of my emergency items in it such as a flashlight so I was a little leery to venture too far off the beaten path. I also wish I had brought a thermos of hot chocolate because it would have been perfect for that day. The leaves were at their peak and with the chill and the fog it was a perfect October day.
