I MET A SLOTH

I cannot believe that I actually get to write this post. If you couldn't gather from the title and the above photo, I have recently met my new best friend.  For my birthday, my parents purchased for me a sloth encounter.  It was everything that I ever wanted it to be and more.  This sloth is named Sweet Pea, and she lives at The Good Zoo in Wheeling, WV.  We drove up on a Sunday for a day trip to Wheeling. We did the meet and greet and learned about sweet pea and about sloths and sloth lifestyle and conservation.  We also got to feed and pet her.  It was amazing.  Words cannot describe how amazing it was.  After an hour we said goodbye to sweet pea and walked around the rest of the zoo.  It is on the smaller side but the enclosures and the animals seemed happy and that is what matters.  The zoo offers several encounters with other animals including a red panda and several other animals.  The zoo seemed passionate about the animals and their health and happiness, which is important to me.  It was such a great experience and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone to book a tour.
