Mothman Festival 2019

A few weekends ago, my friend Morgan and I made the annual pilgrimage to the Mothman Festival.  It is easily one of my favorite weekends of the year.  This year, we arrived before the festival began and we were one of the last to leave.  This year was the first time also that I paid to get a tour back to the tnt area where the first Mothman sighting took place.  That was a super cool experience. I also enjoyed the classic activities of getting to go to the museum and checking out all the vendors that were there selling their paranormal wares. Another thing that we did different this year was to go and listen to several of the speakers. We heard a talk from a winged creature expert, a bigfoot expert, and Greg and Dana Nuekirk from the traveling museum of the paranormal and occult.  I have followed them online for so long it was really cool getting to see them in person and hear their talk.  

One of the things that I love about the Mothman Festival is that it is a collection of people who love the same things I do. People there are so unique and so fun and I just love that everyone is there to celebrate something that we all love. I enjoy meeting vendors and the people that are set up there as experts in their fields.  I feel like I am surrounded by my people when I am at the festival.  I love it so much.  If you have any interest at all in the Mothman you definitely need to check out this festival.
